Love-Giving-Princess-Diana

Greetings and welcome!♥I've always felt a deep admiration for Princess Diana. I've watched a number of documentaries centered around her and her life. For a person to be looking for "true" Love and never really being able to truly know and feel it herself, still she gave with sincerity and heart as though she Loved based on experience, like she knew what it felt like. When she lost her life, the world suffered a tremendous loss. May she always RIP, knowing how Loved she truly was and still is.♥ PNG url:... read more »

Row-YOUR-Boat

Greetings everyone! ♥ For the better part of about the last two weeks I've been working on my blogs, giving them make-overs of sorts. It would be much better and less frustrating if the page/text editor actually co-operated. Numerous times the editor wouldn't work as it should and so, I had to try and figure things out through HTML and I am so not good with this! Anyhow, I still have more to do, especially with Creative Corner, but I'm pausing to post for a change. This poem can be sung, if one knows the... read more »

What’s In Your Wallet?

I am a child of God. Many of you have sung that in recent days as the song No Longer Slaves has moved about the world. (Songs often set the theology of the church. Be awaiting for my friend Jonathan Mancha to rock the world.) I am a child of God! This morning I knew Continue reading Whats In Your Wallet? read more »

Giving-Is-The-Joy-Of-Living

Greetings and welcome from Artsieladie! ♥Welcome to my new blog! This blog is for sharing with my audience quotes I have written. Some will be in images, some won't and will be just the text version of a quote of mine.To start I'm selecting one of my favourites because when I look back over my life, some of the happiest and most rewarding times in my life have been when I'm giving to another in some way and there are many ways to be giving besides actually giving something in a tangible form. I Can Because I Want To!

As I entered the large Christmas store, I was excited. I had my decorated bag in my hands. It had my stuff in there. Things I had brought. Nothing fancy or extravagant, but they were mine. They were things I carried. As I walked into the store I was ready for the beauty of Christmas. Continue reading I Can Because I Want To! read more »

Yes Virginia, there really is…

I saw a Facebook post the other day where her six-year-old daughter had asked a young mother if Santa Clause was real. You see, friends had told her that there really was no Santa Clause. This is an age-old question. On September 21, 1897 the New York Sun printed an editorial that answered that question. [...] read more »

Giving is Sexy

Do you give to charity? For those of us who track our net worth monthly, the idea of giving money to charity can be counterintuitive. Why would you give your money away, when it, on paper, decreases your networth. It is a cost, like any other, but it can pay some surprising benefits. The first is some handy tax deductions:As a Canadian, for federal tax, you get a 15% tax deduction on the first $200, and 29% on everything over $200. Also, every province has their own additional deductions rates, ranging fro... read more »

Small Things

I work very hard, as most people do, to do the right thing. I aspire to do more for others, but often do not reach the expectations I hold for myself. I focus on being grateful for everything I have and believe that if I have two beans, one is for someone else, unless they are very hungry, then she can have the other one, too. Today, though, I am even more deeply humbled by the multiple messages I have received from asynchronous places today. In Bel Air, where I do my shopping, I picked up a couple of ... read more »
